Main changes compared to the old standard:

Raw material requirements: Revised water source requirements, removed the requirements for manganese and oxygen consumption in mineral water source according to common practices and actual industry conditions

Sensory requirements: Higher requirements for chromaticity and turbidity. Lower the limit of the "chromaticity" indicator from 15 degrees to 10 degrees, and lower the limit of the "turbidity" indicator from 5 NTU to 1 NTU

Boundary indicator: Delete the iodide indicator from the boundary indicator

Limit indicator: Considering the fact that deep groundwater, as a natural mineral water, is not susceptible to organic pollution, and in combination with industry surveys, the oxygen consumption indicator has been lowered from 3.0 mg/L to 2.0 mg/L. Remove the less than sign from the original standard limit indicator and maintain consistency with the definition of limit

Pollutant limit: The six indicators of arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, nitrate, and nitrite in the old standard limit indicators will no longer be listed in detail, but will be directly referenced from the provisions of GB 2762

Microbial indicators: Based on the update of detection method GB 8538, and referring to the sampling plan for microorganisms in GB 19298-2014 and its requirements for coliform and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the limit requirements and sampling plan for coliform, fecal streptococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Clostridium perfringens have been revised. The limit requirements for these four microbial indicators have been revised to 5 samples that cannot be detected, making the requirements more stringent

Food Additives: Added the direct reference to GB 2760 for food additives

Label: The requirement to indicate product type has been removed, i.e. the mandatory requirement to indicate product type for "gas containing and inflatable natural mineral water" has been removed; Delete clause 8.1.2, which states that in the future, the label of natural mineral water products should not claim to have medical effects, and the requirements should be stricter

Other: Delete the recommended clauses in the old standard regarding inspection rules, packaging, transportation, and storage. Delete the description of processing requirements in the original standard 5.3.2 and directly refine it in the definition of various natural drinking mineral water. Further clarified the requirements for packaging near water sources
