Testing of food contact materials and food packaging materials

This standard specifies the methods for the determination and migration of phthalates in food contact materials and products. The wooden standard is applicable to the determination of phthalate esters in food plastic packaging materials and products, as well as the determination of phthalate ester migration in food contact materials and products. Principle 2: Plastic packaging materials and products for food are crushed and extracted using n-hexane ultrasound. The extracted liquid is filtered and determined using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Using feature selection ion monitoring scanning mode (SIM), qualitative analysis is performed based on retention time and fragment abundance ratio, while quantitative analysis is performed using external standard method. Unless otherwise specified, all reagents used in this method are chromatographic pure (or analytical pure followed by re distillation).
