Scope

This standard is applicable to raw sugar, white granulated sugar, soft white sugar, red granulated sugar, brown sugar, square sugar, and rock sugar produced from sugarcane and beet as raw materials

Terms and definitions

2.1 Raw sugar

2.2 White granulated sugar

Sucrose products are made from sugarcane or beet as raw materials, and processed through processes such as extracting sugar juice, purifying, boiling, crystallization, and honey separation.

2.3 Soft white sugar

Sugar made from beet or sugarcane, extracted from sugar juice, purified, boiled and crystallized, separated from honey, and added with an appropriate amount of conversion syrup, is a fine grained, white colored, and soft texture sugar.

2.4 Red granulated sugar

A brownish red or yellowish brown granulated sugar with honey, made from sugarcane as raw material and processed through processes such as sugar extraction and purification.

2.5 Brown Sugar

Using sugarcane as the raw material, the sugar juice is extracted, purified, and directly boiled to produce brownish red or yellowish brown sugar without honey separation.

2.6 Sugar cubes

Sugar cubes are made by adding a small amount of water or syrup to white granulated sugar with moderate particle size, and through die-casting and other processes.

2.7 Rock Sugar
