Determination of vapor pressure of petroleum products - Red method warning: This standard does not intend to provide recommendations for all safety issues related to its use. The improvement steps of Method A are applicable to gasoline ranging from 35 kPa to 100 kPa and samples containing oxygenated gasoline. 1.3 Method B and its improvement steps in this standard use a semi-automatic horizontal bath tester, which is also applicable to the determination of gasoline and other petroleum products applicable to Method A and its improvement steps. However, in the interlaboratory comparison test to determine its precision, only gasoline and samples containing oxygenated gasoline were used. 1.4 Method C of this standard is applicable to the determination of samples with vapor pressure greater than 180 kPa. Method D of this standard is applicable to the determination of aviation gasoline with a vapor pressure of approximately 50 kPa. Note t: Since the original atmospheric pressure in the gas chamber offsets the external atmospheric pressure, the Reid method vapor pressure is the absolute vapor pressure at 37.8 ℃. The precision of measuring the vapor pressure of crude oil has not been determined by this method.
