Dry matter is a term used in feed science, plant physiology, and nutrition. It refers to the amount of organic matter left after an organism is fully dried at a constant temperature of 60 ℃ -90 ℃, and its weight is an important indicator of plant organic matter accumulation and nutrient content. Organic matter accounts for about 90% of the dry matter of plants. Fully burn dry matter, and during combustion, elements such as C, H, O, and N escape in the form of CO2, water, molecular nitrogen, and nitrogen oxides. The remaining substance is ash (ash). The ash content is mainly composed of various metal oxides, phosphates, sulfates, and chlorides, which are called ash elements, accounting for an average of about 5% of plant dry matter
